DR. TIMOTHY RASINSKI is a Professor of Education in the Reading and Writing Center at Kent State University, Ohio, where he directs the reading clinic. His scholarly interests include reading fluency, word study, reading in the elementary and middle grades, and readers who struggle. He has served on the Board of Directors of the International Reading Association and is widely published in reading journals. Dr. Rasinski speaks all over the country to education audiences about reading fluency. LORRAINE GRIFFITH is currently teaching fifth grade in a Title One public school. She also has experience teaching kindergarten and fourth grade. She has a masters in elementary education and has earned Middle Childhood Generalist National Board Certification. Lorraine has worked as an educational consultant for the past two decades. Over the last nine years Lorraine has worked with Dr. Rasinski on research and co-authoring ten books for classroom use to increase reading fluency in elementary schools. She lives in the mountains of North Carolina with her husband Stephen, and her daughter Tian.
STEPHEN GRIFFITH is a writer, musician and stay-at-home dad. For twenty years he has helped authors with writing, editing, and placing their books with publishers. But while completing and seeing over 180 books published, many with high-profile authors, his first love (besides his family) is folk music which he has been researching, singing and performing since the 1960s.
